Call YOUR local office asks what needs to be done when seperating or divorcing.
Really it's simple when seperating if you have family or friends that have own house just get letter from them signed that you are living with them and paying rent.
IF your going to an apartemnt of another to live then you need letter signed by them and copy of lease agreemement.
IF you had joint bank account YOU must remove one of you from that account or u cannot receive benefits.
If divorcing then you just show proof of documents from your city gov't office.
Theres another funny thing even if divorced you can still live in same household. LOL i read about where people are doing this.
Seems like uncle sam just dosent have man power to check up on millions of Senior Citizens or those younger who are disabled.
